EVERYONE enjoys living in a community that is prosperous and profitable. The growth of a successful community lies in the unity of business and professional people, from all segments of the community whether it is in commerce, industry, or other. UNITY is the key to success. MEMBERSHIP is needed to keep the office operating. INVOLVEMENT - Without your involvement, the Chamber does not have the manpower to benefit the community the way it should. MANPOWER - It only takes a few hours of your time on a bi-weekly basis. MEETINGS - Regular meetings are held every two weeks. Committee meetings are usually once a month. |

LONG TERM GOALS 2006 - Upgrade of Chamber of Commerce office, including interior renovations and equipment upgrades. 2007 - Additional staff will be required in order to meet our long term goals, therefore, the Chamber plans to secure funding to subsidize training costs and a portion of the employes salary to offset the expected demand in wage for the position. 2008 - Work in conjunction with the Corporation of the Town of Iroquois Falls and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines to develop and implement a Business Retention and Expansion Plan to improve the economic prosperity of the Town of Iroquois Falls 2009 - Development of a Business Incubation Centre that will assist entrepreneurs in offsetting the costs of starting a business in Iroquois Falls by providing access to various information and tools 2010 - The Chamber expects a substantial increase in the number of members and the amount of money spent in the local economy. The Chamber will fulfill its goal of improving its membership, and its services to the community. |
